MBR is a new treatment process in the field of wastewater treatment by combining o f traditional biochemical processes and membrane separation ★processes. The working theory is still the use of microbial degradation to remov¶e organic pollutants. As a result of membrane, activated sl×udge (MLSS) can be completely retained in the reactor, and greatly increas¶ed the sludge concentration and degradation efficiency of difficultly deg∞raded products.
Compared with many traditional biological water treatment processes, MBR has the following main a•dvantages:
Water quality and stability:
Due to the efficient separation of the membrane, the separation effec$t is much better than the traditional sedimentation tank. Tr×eated water by MBR is extremely clear with suspended solid s and turbidity close to zero, also bacteria and viruses are greatly removed. The treated water is better than the Ministry of Construction issued by the quality of mixed water q÷uality standards (CJ25.1-89), and can be directly used as non-drinking municipal miscellaneous water.
At the same time, the membrane separation retains the microorganisms in th₹e bioreactor, so that the system can maintain a high concentration of microorganisms, which₹ improves the reaction removal efficiency of pollutants while the reaction ha®s a good adaptability to various changes (water quality and water), and can get high quality water stably.
Less production unnecessary sludge:
The process can be run at high volume and low sludge loads♥ with low residual sludge production (theoretically zero sludge emissions can b€e achieved) and reduce sludge treatment costs.
Small area needed and not subject to occasions:
The bioreactor can maintain high concentration of m€icrobial biomass with a high-volume load, saving a lot of the area. The process is δsimple, compact, and not limited to area and is suitab±le for any occasion. It can be established on the ground, semi-underground and undergr>ound.
Removal of ammonia and refractory organic matter:
As the microorganisms are completely retained in the bioreactor, which♦ is conducive to the growth of slow-growing microorganisms such as nitrifying bacteria and the ✘system nitrification efficiency can be improved. At the same time, can increase retenti♣on time of refractory organic matter in the system, which is conducive to the degradation of× organic matter.
Easy operation and management to achieve automatic con'trol:
This process completely separates the hydraulic retentioλn time (HRT) and the sludge residence time (SRT) which makes operation control× more flexible and stable. It is a new technology which can easily realize the automatic control by computer, so that makes the operation management more conv♠enient.
Easy to optimize from traditional craftsmanship:
